Town Kiosk

HHI  was tasked with the Renovation of the Kiosk For Visitors and Residents to Keep Up With What is Happening in the Community

Great news. This project is complete.

Historic Hayesville had a downtown, on the square information kiosk that needed help!

The original kiosk was located at the corner of Herbert Street and Sanderson Street outside Town Hall. Items that were displayed included the downtown map, Small Town Main Street information, brochures and flyers for local events. It was a wonderful resource, providing news of happenings, tourism and community information for visitors and year-round residents. It was regularly updated and worthy of improving.

Leaning KioskRotting Posts

The photographs show the original kiosk was leaning badly and it did sway in the wind. The wooden posts were rotting and needed to be replaced. The shingles needed attention also.

Historic Hayesville Inc undertook the task of renovating this useful community asset with plans to replace the wooden posts with metal posts reducing future maintenance needs.

Shingles

Great news. This new Information Kiosk is now available downtown.  Thanks to Blacksmith Joe Miller of Brasstown, the kiosk is grounded in concrete and has a metal frame. Joe also included some interesting metal art under the eave. It will last for many years and is another testament to Joe's skill.
