Downtown Parking

Downtown parking and pedestrian connectivity are part of the Small Town Main Street/Historic Hayesville Inc. work plan with more areas needed to accommodate new businesses and their customers.  Committees will be assisting the town with plans for additional spaces and improved traffic flow.

HHI purchased a 6-seat golf club cart that is a quiet, non-polluting form of mobile access for seniors or those with impaired mobility, by providing a "shuttle" from nearby parking and housing to downtown events, concerts, shopping and the library.

This "service" will not only assist the town improve the life of our seniors but engender further economic growth.

As more new businesses downtown create further pressure on downtown parking, it makes this project a welcome addition.
