2024 WNC Festival Of Trees Scholarships

Applications for the 2024 WNC Festival Of Trees Scholarships are now available at the HHS Guidance Office.

The deadline for submitting the scholarship application is

April 5th, 2024.


Just like last year, scholarships support every career path after graduation. This year the following scholarships are available to graduating seniors.


1. The WNC Festival of Trees Scholarship (2-or 4-year college):

•1st place will receive $2,500.00 the first year and is renewable at $2,500.00 per year for the next three consecutive years. ($10,000 total over 4 years)


•First runner-up will receive a $2,000 one-time scholarship to be used to for tuition expenses during the academic year immediately following high school graduation, to be split between the fall and spring semesters.


•Second runner-up will receive a $1,000 one-time scholarship to be used to for tuition expenses during the academic year immediately following high school graduation, to be split between the fall and spring semesters.


2. The WNC Festival of Trees Technical Scholarship (Technical/Trade School Applicant):

$1,000 Each: 2 One-Time Scholarships Available

3. The WNC Festival of Trees Workforce Scholarship (Students going straight into the workforce):

$500 Each: 2 One-Time Scholarships Available


In addition, awards for the following community and school programs:


1. Clay County Communities for Students: $1,000 donation
2. Hayesville Band: $500 donation
3. Hayesville High Agricultural Program: $500 donation
4. Hayesville Middle School Athletics Program: $500 donation


Also, Towns County High School will receive a $500 scholarship made possible through the support of three local Towns County businesses who participated in the event. This scholarship application process will be set up soon so that students can apply.

The last Festival of Trees event tripled earnings at the show. All proceeds goes back to our students and community.
